Part of the Jamaica Worldwide artist series: trending in Norway, October 2026.
Who He Is
Makosir is a young singer and songwriter from Holmlia in Oslo. He put out his first single, “Trikken”, in 2019 and won NRK P3’s “Årets Urørt” award the year before his breakthrough.
The Rise
His big moment came in 2023 with “Danser videre i livet”, a chart-topping collaboration with Hkeem and Synne Vo. In 2026 his debut album Spill For Galleriet, a personal record about identity, growing up and life behind the public image, went gold in Norway, while “SOS” with Ari Bajgora went platinum and stayed in the top ten all summer. This autumn he heads out on his first Norwegian tour with his band.
Why He’s Trending
His new single “I et annet liv”, released on 16 October, has held number two on the Spotify Norway weekly chart for two weeks running, behind only Tate McRae. “SOS” is still in the top 25 after more than five months, giving him two songs high on the chart at once.
Trending as of 31 October 2026.
